Veeam database on sql 2014
Hello everyone,
Just a question regarding the location of the Veeam Backup database.
If I have an SQL 2014 farm Always On, I cannot put the Backup DB on availability groups (as I saw in the VBR 9.5 user guide, under system requirements).
But as I understand, if I have an SQL 2014 Always On cluster, some of the DBs can exist as standalone and not on the availability group. In this case, can I host the backup DB as a standalone DB on SQL 2014 cluster?
And what about the Veeam ONE DB, can I put it on an availability group? If not, can I put it as a standalone DB on SQL 2014 cluster?
Thank you in advance
Hope you have a great day!

Re: Veeam database on sql 2014
In user guide it actually states that Veeam B&R databases can be deployed on Microsoft SQL AlwaysOn Availability Groups. I believe it's the same for Veeam ONE.

Veeam ONE SQL AlwaysOn is oficially supported in v9.5, however customers reported that it works fine in earlier versions. And what about the Veeam ONE DB, can I put it on an availability group? If not, can I put it as a standalone DB on SQL 2014 cluster?
Thanks!

Re: Veeam database on sql 2014
In the user guide it said that "must modify a database connection registry key", can't I use DBConfig Utility instead? Or are the registry keys to be modified related to something else?
Also, now the Backup DB and Veeam ONE DB are on SQL 2012. If I want to migrate them to SQL 2014 Always On, should I use the following methods?
For VBR: veeam-backup-replication-f2/how-to-move ... ml#p221958
For Veeam ONE: https://www.veeam.com/kb1599 and https://www.veeam.com/kb1592
Thanks!

I'd ask support for advice, but the links look valid.
