Hello,
we consider using veeam backup in a project.
imagine a larger vsphere infrastructure with some "top level" admins who have complete vcenter access.
there are several departments where each department will have it`s own admin with less privileges, i.e. such admins cannot configure networks, storage etc. and they typically "live" within their own ressource pool. they can create/manage virtual machines within their ressourcepool.
now the question:
does veeam backup fit in such environment, i.e. will each department admin be able to backup/recover their own department specific subset of VMs with veeam backup independently ?
regards
roland

Re: veeam delegated backup/recover
Yes, we describe this scenario in the What's New document, see the Enterprise Management chapter. Basically, this comes down to deploying Veeam Backup on department level (one install per department, and configuring each install to backup department's corresponding resource pool).
