veeam emc datadomain ddbost

hello,

i have to deploy a emc datadomain storage system with DataDomain Boost as backup repository
my question is about gateway server : Can i put this rôle on my proxy server or it's better to declare an other server ?

Is it possible to put the gateway server on the proxy server in a VM as the proxy server had the hyper-v rôle installed ?

my configuration :

2 hyper-v server with 50-100 vms, ((My veeam backup server is on a virtual machine with entreprise manager, veeam one is installed on a other vm)
a physical proxy server ( 24 gb ram bi-processors 2*4 )
a datadomain DD2500
everything is installed on the same local network (gbit ethernet).

Hi Cedric, yes, you can use your proxy as a gateway server, provided it meets the combined system requirements for both components.
