Veeam Enterprise Manager
Hi,
i give some groups rights for restore their own vms. Now that feature ist not usable - but it worked before.
If i create a Role Restore Operator and Select Restore scope: All machines > user see all vms - but this is not usable
If i use Selected machines only and select two vms > user see nothing
We have Enterprise Plus edition.
Regards
Alex

Hi Alexander,
Did the user try to refresh the view in Machines tab upon non-successfull search clicking on "I don't see my VM"?
Thanks,
Oleg

Re: Veeam Enterprise Manager
Hi Oleg,
it's not working as expected anymore. But i don't know how long that is not working.
We use this funktionality since April 2019.
What is the change:
- now we on Version 9.5 U4 (9.5.4.2866)
- since 01.01.2020 new Licence-File
- since 30.01.2020 and until 28.02.2020 we have an higher licence (because we replace our hosts)
Refresh is useless.
Regards,
Alex

Case # 04003237
"Security Scopes Rebuild" Fails if the VEM has deleted Object refenece.
Veeam Support (today missing Features):
- If a VM is explicitly added as restore scope for Restore Operator, its
restore points will remain available for Restore Operator even after VM
deletion from infrastructure. "Rebuild roles" will ignore such VMs and
therefore won't give an error.
- If container (folder, group) is added as restore scope for Restore
Operator, restore points for VMs deleted from this container automatically
become unavailable for Restore Operator after VM deletion from
infrastructure.
Workaround: VEM - Register "Files" - "Pick from List" - "Cancel" - "I don't see my maschine" > Security Scopes Rebuild only for that user!
Regards
Alex
