Veeam Essentials - More Licenses Required

Post by mythumbsclick »

Hi.

I currently have a 3 host/6 proc environment and for the last 3 years have been using Veeam Essentials Enterprise. I am planning to add 3 new hosts with an additional 6 procs to my environment on a second site so need to get new licensing. I understand that Essentials is limited to 6 procs so my question is:

Can I continue to use my essentials licenses for my existing site 6 prog environment and purchase 6 new procs for "normal" B&R at my second site? I don't mind not having everything centrally managed i.e. 2 separate Veeam console installs/configurations.

I did look at the FAQs but couldn't find much there and also spoke with my account manager but was left a little confused.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

Your local sales can assist you here. You will have to upgrade the existing license to a 12 socket license by purchasing 6 additional 'normal' sockets.
