Veeam Essentials - Upgrade from 2 CPU to 4 CPU

Post by mriksman »

Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade my 2 CPU license to 4 CPUs? How should I do this (considering I have to go through Purchasing department). How will the number of support days be after applying this? Will it be 2 separate licenses installed on the server, or will they be merged?

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Yes, you should contact a sales representative in your area, they will provide all information you are interested in. Thanks!

One thing I'll share is that you should ultimately receive a single new combined license file with all four sockets.

@jmmarton Thanks! I was just about to ask that question.

Which is a shame. Because the local vendor here is USELESS. At least if I could have purchased a second license and install that separately, the entire purchasing process would have been much simpler. So if I get this company to provide me with the new license, I have no doubt the will just give me a new 2 CPU license. They won't merge. Even if I ask them to.

Can Veeam support help me merge the two together?

Michael,

You can contact any available reseller in your area to buy another license, also, license merge can be done through the Veeam Licensing portal (My Account at Veeam.com) by yourself. Thanks!
