Veeam Explorer for Exchange - Restored mails are drafts

Hi all,

I just installed the Update to version 6.5 and tried out the Veeam Explorer for Exchange using the steps with file level restore.

Everything worked fine so far, but I after I restored a mail item to my inbox, the restored mail item was created as a draft directly in my inbox and not as a received mail. If I want to open the restored item, my Outlook client opens the mail like I would send a draft. I didn't find something about this in the forums. Maybe someone could help me with. Thank you.

Hi Andreas,

Could you please tell me what options you have chosen while restoring your email? Have you selected the original location? What folder did you specify? Have you tried to restore any other email?

Hi Vitaliy,

I selected the option to restore to original location and I tried several mails, but all of them with the same result. All mails I tried were initially located in my inbox.

Thought I read somewhere that to restore to original location is only available in Enterprise license. Is that the issue?

I have an enterprise license and the restore is working, but not correctly as I wrote in my first post.

I can confirm seeing the same behavior in my lab. Restored items show up in the Inbox as draft messages.

Ok, seems like it's the time to involve our support team in the troubleshooting process. Andreas, can you please open a support ticket and submit all logs for review?

after excalating my support request to Tier 2 they confirmed this as a bug. See below:

We have confirmed this bug. We are going to fix this in future releases. Thank you for this bug submission.

Should this problem be fixed by now?
Because i downloaded the latest eval version a few days ago and entered a eval key to get the Enterprise functionalities for 30days.
Unfortunately i discovered that when i restore one or more individual emails they still show up as draft mails in the inbox.
I hope someone got a answer for this.

never mind.
I figured out i needed to install patch3 and then this problem was also solved.
