Veeam 'Failover now' Not recognizing Network Extension

Hello,

I am having issues with the Cloud Replication Feature of v9 Veeam.
I have setup my Service Provider and during this wizard It asked me to deploy a Network Extension Appliance for Partial Failover.
I have deployed this successfully and on my Hyper-V Host I see a Network Extension Appliance.
One has also been deployed on the service provider end.

When I go to failover now however, I receive an Error:

Code: Select all

"No Network Extension Appliances were found in the IP Network 192.168.10.0/24 VM Selected for Failover is connected to.
Click Yes to Proceed to Network Extension Wizard step and deploy missing appliance.
If you click no Replica VM may be unreachable over network after failover"
I've clicked Yes a dozen times and deployed the Network Extension Appliance, that is showing successful every time!
I've recreated the Service Provider, Recreated my Replication Job and everything but this error keeps showing!
It's like Veeam isn't saving its settings.

Anyone know of a way around this, or why it is happening?

Are you positive the appliance was deployed in the given IP network (192.168.10.0/24)? If you open properties of the service provider and go to Network Extension Appliance tab, is the newly created appliance shown there? Thanks.

Here's the thing, I go to Backup Infrastructure > Service Providers and Hit Properties and the Network Extension appliance is not there.
I go through the process of creating it, it creates fine and the Hyper-V Host has it.
Then when I apply and go back to properties its gone again.
It's like veeam is forgetting the settings I save.
The Network Extension appliance is always in the Hyper-V Host though.

This case has pretty much been issue after issue with Cloud Replication.
This is just the latest one we are having.

Thank you for your patience with this. Cloud Connect Replication is a brand new technology, so at this point it does not have much built-in intelligence for dealing with unexpected environment specific settings and issues - except those we already ran into in our own labs or in beta customer environments. We need some time to collect this knowledge before "it just works" in most environments.

You can check with your support engineer regarding hotfix availability. It also will be included in the next public update.

Btw, have you tried to click "No" in the error dialog window? In another case it allowed to proceed and worked fine.

I tried that and it instantly failed

Then the issue may be different, please continue working with you support engineer.

They have advised to wait for the hotfix spoken of here?
Can you please let them know to continue troubleshooting as you believe these not to be related.

As far as I know, there's another fix that might be applicable to your case. Your case should be shortly picked up by the engineer that will assist you with applying it.
