Veeam freeze during a backup

Hi

I'm trying to backup a DC, while the backup proceed the machine gets frozen.

I have configured it to use " changed block tracking data with changed block tracking for all proceesed VMs."
also enabled application-aware image processing.


How can I avoid this freezing?

by the way my machine is being run from NFS store on NetApp.

the vm is freezing and stop to response.

At what moment exactly does this happen, when VM snapshot is created before backup starts, or when it is deleted (after VM disks have been backed up)?

My post got moved to that thread - I'm seeing freezes on way smaller machines - 40gb - and I have a sneaking suspicion that it is CBT because we've narrowed the window of the "freeze" down to around 4 seconds, and it's during the vmware snapshot release.

This is why I am trying to find out when this happens, before moving/closing this topic. The other topic you are referencing is about snapshot removal. But from what OP says here, it is not clear if VM is possible frozen when snapshot is created, or deleted. Who knows, may be there are some issues with guest freeze or snapshot creation causing long stun? This would make it absolutely different issue.
