Veeam from DataDomain to tape in tape library

We are trying to get our monthly backups from our DataDomain disk array to DLT tapes located in a Scalar24 Robotic Tape Library. I was reading there was some kind of script that can be launched right after a Veeam backup has finished. Anyone else doing anything like this? Thanks.

Hello Nick,

Yes, that's correct, you may trigger a post job script that would initiate moving your backup files to tapes, as Veeam cannot write directly to tapes.

Basically, this script depends on the software tool you use to put files on tapes. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Scalar24 Robotic Tape Library to help you with the script, but we've got a well documented guide for Backup Exec and Veeam integration available through our support team, besides here is a link that should give you a common idea of how it works:

We actually run Netbackup...is the script able to be modifed to run with Netbackup instead of Backup Exec?
