Veeam Implemantation & Managment Question
Hello,
1.i know that Application aware Backup/Restore(Exch,AD,SQL) is not able on Hyper-V , is there any workaround ?i remeber i saw somthing.
is it for the Roadplan of the Next Version?
2.How can i use the User Roles so the People with a specific role can see only there assigned VM.

Re: Veeam Implemantation & Managment Question
1. Application aware image processing does not depend on the hypervisor type you've chosen, so it does work with Hyper-V too.
2. Currently this is not possible, however you can limit the number of visible objects by deploying additional backup servers for each user role.

Re: Veeam Implemantation & Managment Question
2. Yes, we are planning to implement this capability down the road.
1. What I was trying to say is that you can backup/restore your applications with "application aware image processing" checkbox enabled (more details in our User Guide, page 103).
Based on your description you're looking for application granular item recovery which is indeed not available for Hyper-V, however as a workaround you may want to use Instant VM Recovery to bring the VM up and then use native tools to restore application-specific items.

Re: Veeam Implemantation & Managment Question
Granular item recovery and application aware image processing are two different things, please take a look at our sticky F.A.Q. topic for more details.
