Hi Guys,
I know i can found it in FAQ by Gostev, and i think i know how the licensing work, we have production hyper v host, and wish to replicate primary backup file/offsite to our DR server using backup job, then the DR backup set will create replica VM at DR site.
i don't think the DR side need any Veeam license based on my scenario. i do not need to backup my replica VM "why i need to backup my DR replica VM that have Veeam snapshot, am i right? backup a snapshotted replica VM will delete all previous snapshot point"
but my country "M_L_YS_A" veeam representative told me i was wrong that i need license for DR cause she said i need to backup my DR replica VM, wt.......i do not need to backup my replica VM "why i need to backup my DR replica VM that have Veeam snapshot, am i right? backup a snapshotted replica VM will delete all previous snapshot point"
and i already have offsite secondary backup set via backup copy job.
=="
Thanks

Re: Veeam license for DR hosts
You are right, normally you don't want to backup replica VMs
