Without knowing what the error is you are receiving it is a bit difficult for us to say what may be going wrong. You can always contact support for assistance however we have multiple customers backing up large volumes without issues with the agent and 4TB shouldn't be an issue.

The error is:
Failed to perform managed backup
No objects to backup
So it looks as Veeam cannot see the volume

Could you tell me which type of filesystem this volume is? Is it Ext3, Ext4, BTRFS,... ?

That shouldn't be an issue, could you open up a support case for assistance (as they will most likely need to check logs and run some tests like lsblk -a).

Re: Veeam Linux Agent Volume backup on 4TB failes
I cannot do that, because we have only trail license to Linux agent, because we are testing, before we buy;)
I have also tried to maken an Image backup of ther server. The backup whent fine, but the 2 volumes was not in the Image backup.
When I have an Image backup, is it then possible to restore it to VMware?
I can only se "Instant Recovery to Hyper-V" and "Restore to Microsoft Azure". And button "Instant Recovery" i grayed out.
At the moment we only have Veeam Standard, so do we need Enterprise edition to restore to VMware. (We upgrade to Enterprise in 14 days).

Re: Veeam Linux Agent Volume backup on 4TB failes
You cannot restore Linux-based physical machine directly to ESXi host. However, you can export its disks to .vmdk files and then create VM, based on the exported disks. Thanks!

To restore Linux-based physical machines directly to ESXi host, does that requeire Enterprise edition?

Sorry, I meant you cannot restore such machines directly to ESXi host. Currently we do not have this functionality. So, the only workaround is to export disks as .vmdk files. Thanks!

Actually you can, since we provide support during the official trial period. Thanks!its-user01 wrote: ↑Oct 24, 2018 9:03 am I cannot do that, because we have only trail license to Linux agent, because we are testing, before we buy;)

Re: Veeam Linux Agent Volume backup on 4TB failes
Hi!
Thanks!
How exactly is the drive attached? Any chance it's a USB drive?Failed to perform managed backup
No objects to backup
So it looks as Veeam cannot see the volume
Thanks!
