Re: Veeam on Exadata
Hello,
yes, there are customers using exadata.
Plugins (whether on Exadata or on any other piece of hardware) data can be copied with the backup copy job to other storage, yes. Plugins to tape is not available today.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Veeam on Exadata
Hello,
Just FYI: some customers use File to Tape job by instructing it to grab files from the corresponding folder which contains plug-in backups, however application backup copy job is more reliable approach to stick with 3-2-1 strategy. Our QC did not test file to tape jobs with plug-ins explicitly, therefore we cannot guarantee stable functioning in all possible scenarios. I see the requests for tape support in plug-ins quite often, this is something that already added to the roadmap but I cannot provide any ETA so far.
Thanks!

Hi,
another update from internal team, that when using veeam plugin for RMAN ORACLE we can't have scheduler from Veeam console. Now they are trying to use crontab scheduler from the oracle server. is it correct?

Re: Veeam on Exadata
v12 will bring a scheduler with Job Management within Veeam. As well automatic rollout and configuration of the plug-ins similar to what we do with Agent Management.
