Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN questions

Post by tom_nl »

Hi,

I have some questions about this plugin:

- What is the compatibility between the Veeam server and the agents? Can we have a newer server and older agents? And can we have an older server with newer agents?
- Is there a changelog available for the changes in the Plugin? In the latest v10a I couldn't find anything, and I can't imagine nothing has changed.

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

1. Please refer here for details.
2. Yes, please try CTRL+F and type in "plug" on the v10a release notes page.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for answering my first question.

However in the release notes there is nothing about the RMAN plugin. Does that mean no changes? Or are the changes not public?

Hi Tom,

There are no new features in the v10a in comparison to the v10 beside various performance improvements and some technical issues are fixed in the 10a release.
Would you be so kind to clarify what kind of changes are you interested in? Do you expect to see some specific functionality?

Thanks!

There is... do what he recommended in point 2, and you will find the corresponding line.
