When I try to create a Veeam SQL Plugin backup job for Logs it greys out the option to set retention. Not finding anything in documentation about this. Any additional information is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jarom

Re: Veeam Plug-in for SQL Transaction Log Retention
Hi Jarom and Welcome to Veeam R&D Forums!
There is no separate retention for T-log or full or differential backups. The retention works at the "per-database" level and removes obsolete backup chains (before the recent full). For each database, at the end of every differential or full backup session (not t-log, that's why you cannot enable it for log backup job), the retention policy looks for an outdated backup chain. An outdated chain contains full, differential, and log backups older than the specified retention period. If such an outdated chain is found, it will be deleted.
By the way, did you have a look at this page?
Thanks!
