Hi everyone!
I have the following doubt: in my environment all Veeam components (server, proxies, repositories, gateways, etc.) have 2 nics in different VLANs. One nic is on the main network 192.168.X.X (production) and the other nic is a non-routed network 172.25.X.X (dedicated to backup). If I define the VLAN 172.25.X.X as the preferred network for replication and backup traffic, is that enough? Do I need to have a DNS service and the respective records on the backup VLAN different from the production VLAN? Should I register the Veeam components (proxies, repositories, gateways, etc.) with the names defined in the Backup VLAN DNS?
Thanks for your help! Regards!

Re: Veeam preferred networks requeriments
Hello,
asking the other way around: did you see any issues? if yes, which ones in which configuration?
Yes, I would register everything in the backup network (IP / DNS).
Best regards,
Hannes
PS: I always suggest to simplify the setup and only use one network because it makes life easier.
