Well, I know it didn't work before v6 patch 3.
But from here and I haven't been able to figure out what it means.
At one of my clients, I am able to backup the Veeam Backup Server with application aware processing (yeah!). That server doesn't have SQL installed on it (the Veeam database is on a different server).
At another of my clients, I am not able to backup the Veeam Backup Server with application aware processing. It DOES have SQL 2008 R2 Express edition with the Veeam database running on it.
So -- before I open a tech support request -- is application aware processing supposed to work on the Veeam Backup Server if it also has the Veeam SQL database running on it? (v6.1)

Re: Veeam Server + SQL + Veeam Database +Application Aware ?
Yes, it should work just fine starting 6.0 patch 3 (and, of course, 6.1). I see only one possible reason for it not to work - the SQL in question is also used to host the vCenter database.
