Veeam snapshot space

Post by ftbug »

Hi, i was just wondering what the best way would be to get an idea of the size of a required snapshot would be?

is the size related to size of the incremental changes, or would it just be related to the size of the hard disks?

For instance, would we be able to roughly estimate the size of a machine that has only 1 hard drive of 130GB?

Hi,

The size of a snapshot is related to the amount of changes happening to your VM per time unit. Please refer to the VMware article and don't hesitate to ask questions if any. Also you can use Veeam ONE to collect info about your infrastructure and get reports.

Thank you.
