Veeam SQL Database Schema
Does anyone know where I can get a list of Veeams SQL Database schema. Looking for a schema map that tells you what is in each table.
What to build our own custom reports but need a list (Schema Map) that would list what you is in each table.
Thanks

Hi Rick, we do not publish Veeam B&R internal database schema. One of the reasons is that it changes from version to version, so should you come up with such a report, you'd need to update it with every new release.

If you're after custom reporting, take a look at PowerShell and capabilities it can propose; just one example. Thanks.

Zew,
VeeamONE does indeed do reporting and dashboards (and grows with each version ) but sometimes people want to create custom reporting.
@Rick: custom reporting/ dashboards can also be created with Veeam ONE but night be a bit more limited compared to what can be done with PowerShell as Vladimir mentioned
Cheers
Mike

Re: Veeam SQL Database Schema
Hi everyone,
I'm also looking for a way to find/match the Veeam version from the SQL database.
The following KB contains a hint for the table "Version" but stops at 9.5U3a: https://www.veeam.com/kb1845
Would it be possible to publish the internal database schema or is there any other (SQL) way to find out the version/build number?

Hi Max, as mentioned above, we do not publish Veeam B&R internal database schema. Could you please clarify whether you're looking for the configuration database version number or the Veeam B&R build number?

Hi Alexander, the goal would be to find out the Veeam B&R build number.

Re: Veeam SQL Database Schema
Then the mentioned KB is anyway irrelevant. You can get the Veeam B&R version/build number from the DLL properties using PowerShell, for example - would it be applicable?

Re: Veeam SQL Database Schema
Is there no way to read the B&R Version from the database? I know that we could use Powershell for such tasks but in our case we need to query the database.

Hi Max,
Could you please clarify why do you need to use the database as a source of data? Normally, all necessary information can be obtained via PowerShell or REST API.
Thanks!

Re: Veeam SQL Database Schema
Refreshing the subject - the thing is we for instance got like multiple VeeamZIP files. Some of them might have expiration applied, but some might not. We would like to list these where expiration hasn't been applied and ask relevant people whether we can remove the ZIP files as we are slowly getting out of space on VeezmZIP partition. Here I saw that it can be visible only in the DB veeam-backup-replication-f2/veeamzip-vi ... 58986.html any idead how to find information we are looking for?

Re: Veeam SQL Database Schema
Hi Pawel,
My apologies, I overlooked your question:) If you go to Backups - Disk (VeeamZip) - right click on backup - Properties and the last column "Retention" in the table will show the expiration date.
Thanks!

Re: Veeam SQL Database Schema
Hi @PetrM ok I can see it!
I do not see it for some backups though - I understand that if I do not see retention for them - there is no retention applied?
Cheers,
Pawel

Re: Veeam SQL Database Schema
Hello Pawel,
Yes, if the column is not there, that means there is no retention applied to this VeeamZip backup.
@Regnor, you can obtain VBR version from VONE v11 .
Thanks
