veeam static ip

I have veeam installed on a VM. Should I give it a static ip or is dhcp ok?

Another easy installation question if you don't mind.

Veeam Backup Catalog: Is it ok not to install this if I'm not planning to index backups?

You cannot choose not to install Veeam Backup Catalogue - it's always embedded. Simply make sure that "enable indexing" checkbox is unchecked, in job settings. Thus Catalogue service would have nothing to do which means zero impact on performance.
