Veeam VM off the Domain, but VM Host on the Domain
We are trying to harden security for our backs and evaluating options. Is it possible to isolate access to backups to only local credentials on a VM that is running on a domain joined host? Our primary site has one on a separate physical host off the domain, but our secondary site only has 1 server so we were hoping to not have to use another windows server license to secure it. Is it possible?

Re: Veeam VM off the Domain, but VM Host on the Domain
Hi David,
So you want to use a user/ pwd to do a backup of the VM on the secondary site. That VM is in another domain and you want do application aware processing on it?
By adding specific credentials in the job for this VM, it is possible to protect that VM. (You will most likely, if I understood it correctly) also need specific credentials for the host in that secondary site).
Or did I misunderstand the question?
Let me know
Mike
