Veeam with Data Domain cloud tier to Azure

Post by kbrandt »

Anyone have any experience with using Veeam to write to Data Domains? Letting the Data Domains cloud tier via the Data Movement policy via the Mtree. I'm currently using DDboost as well, how can I see the data file names if I want to recall. I'm currently waiting on support from EMC for an answer.

I am running into issues with my Veeam jobs that have tiered off via the Data Movement policy? Getting error stating. The user has insufficient privilege. Err 5034 Failed to read data from Data Domain.

Any advice and or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Kurtis, if I'm getting right, you have some part of the backup chain moved to Cloud Tier, while I'm not sure DD Boost has access to the cloud, you need to check with EMC on that. Anyway, it is always better (at least cost-effective) to have the entire active chain locally and move only files that are not accessed by the job. It would be great if you could share the outcome of the support case with us. Thanks!
