Veeam9 Cloud Connect // Pre-Seed
Hi
I am trying to pre-seed a backup copy job to our cloud repository, what i did is the create backup copy jobs to temporary NAS storage and once the copy backups over i moved the NAS storage and copied the Folders to the tenant's repository folder . But when i try to change the Backup repository from the old temporary NAS storage to Cloud Repository, i am unable to see the backup sets from Cloud Repository or map the backup job sets to the backups jobs.
Primary backup jobs are configured with Reverse Incremental and Encrypted, the backup copy jobs created from the primary backup jobs with Encryption enabled as well.
Any help on this much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ragesh

Re: Veeam9 Cloud Connect // Pre-Seed
Hi,
the procedure to seed a backup in Cloud Connect is:
1. create a local backup or backup copy file
2. create the tenant in advance
3. move the backup file (with vbm if possible) to the folder mapped as the cloud repository
4. tell the tenant to register the cloud repository and run a rescan operation
Can you confirm all the operations have been completed?

Re: Veeam9 Cloud Connect // Pre-Seed
Hi Luca,
Yes i have followed the same procedure, i do have VBK and VBM files with complete backup folder as i physically moved the temporary NAS which i used preseed ar tenant side to our cloud. I copied the complete folder to the tenants repository at SP console. However when i rescan the cloud repository at tenants side, and try to change the backup repository to cloud repo and map the backup i am unable to list the VBK files
thanks

Re: Veeam9 Cloud Connect // Pre-Seed
This is not expected behaviour, or there's some step missing. I'd suggest to engage our support to verify this.

Just wondering if you got anywhere with this - support are telling me this is by design, which doesn't make sense at all.

Are you following the exact steps suggested by Luca? Can you provide me with the support ticket number, so that I can take a look at the case? Thanks.

Yep, I've seen it already in VCSP forum. Let's discuss the issue there. Thanks.
