Veeem just saved the day

Just used instant restore for the first time in production environment, and it worked flawlessly. Had an issue with our main print server. Long story but no one in the office could print as all shared printers had been deleted from the server accidentally.

Rather than recreating each printer share, I used instant recovery to mount the VM from backup storage. Took less than two minutes and the server was booted up and serving printers again. I will complete the process this evening with a storage vMotion.

3 months ago when i was on Backup Exec I would have either had to recreate all the printers or struggle with Backup Exec to do a restore. Best case it would have been a couple hours of heartburn for me, and no printing for the users.
