Hello everyone,
I am new on the Veeam. So I am trying to implement our system. And I have a some questions.
I want to backup 10 physical workstation and 2 windows server for now.
1. When I select Jobs-Backup-Windows computer Am I select Workstation or Server for pyhsical workstation. When I select Workststation it is give permission to selection Managed by agent , managed by agent is flu. Whis is the best practise managing by agent or server.
2. When I create protection group and distrubute agent package some computers connnection refusing with error as bad network pathe when I disable windows firewall connection is ok. Which ports do I need to allow. on the target workstation.
And Can you give me some recommendation for these.
Thanks for helps.
Yakup.

Re: Veeem İmplement Recommends
Hi Yakup,
Welcome to Veeam Community Forums and thanks for posting!
1. The decision on what Job Mode to use should come from your requirements. Please take a look at this and that guides first describing the basic idea behind job modes.
2. For required ports, please refer to this guide.
Thanks and let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you for your quick reply and resources.
Resources helped me a lot. Only I cant solve firewall problem. I added exception for listed ports on the page like that.
on the workstation: incoming 6184, 6160, 11731
outgoing: 10005,6167, 2500-5000

Re: Veeem İmplement Recommends
If the target for backups will be the Veeam Backup repository, don't forget to open ports mentioned in the Communication with Veeam B&R repositories section.
It's worth to contact the support team and let them take a closer look. That should be much faster and reliable than trying to troubleshoot through the forum.
Btw can you try to disable the firewall and check? That should help to make sure the issue is related to the ports.
Thanks!
