Hi,
Anyone used Symantech/Veritas Storage Foundation together with Veeam for disk volume management, and is it compatible with Veeam B&R 6?

Kristen, if you are talking about backing up VMs using VxFS as their guest file system, then yes, VBR can backup such VMs. I would say that VBR is, in some sense, guest file system agnostic. Also, JFS (implementation of VxFS) is supported for File-Level Restore (it is listed in the corresponding table in System Requirements). Hope this helps.

I have customer asking about FLR from VxFS, as VxFS is not mentioned on the list of supported filesystems for file-level restore in v7 release notes. Is there any other documentation where I can find VxFS on the list of FLS supported file systems?

Boris, it was not specifically tested, however JFS, which is somehow, as far as I understand, based on VxFS, is supported. So the only way to make sure is to try.

Even if FLR fails for some reason, you still will be able to restore granular data by running a given VM directly from a backup file via Instant VM Recovery and, then, copying required files from there. Thanks.
