VIB 'Restore' without VBK

Assuming we have a backup chain (Backup Copy) with lots of incremental backups but are missing the initial full backup (vbk) file: is there any way to retrieve data from VIB file?

I know chances are relatively slim, but it would be interesting to know whether there is any way to retrieve data from these files.

unfortunately that's not possible. You have just tons of incremental blocks. Without the full there is no chance to reconstruct anything useful.
