One of my sites has two hosts, but no SAN. I was looking at using the API. Would I need Veeam on a machine on each of my hosts for this to work correctly?
(sorry I didnt know this site exsited and have lots of questions )

Re: Virtual Appliance Mode on 2 hosts
Hello Alan,
To be able to use vStorage API Virtual Appliance mode you just need to install Veeam Backup and Replication server on a VM. You do need to have separate installations for each of the host.
Thank you!

Re: Virtual Appliance Mode on 2 hosts
Alan, note that while you will need separate install for each host to be able to use Virtual Appliance mode without shared storage, you can use Veeam Backup Enteprise Manager component to have consolidated view and manage both Veeam Backup installations centrally via web UI. This will make management more convenient for you.
