Steven, looks like there's a typo in the first line of this block, missing letter ("solation" instead of "isolation"):
solation.tools.getPtrLocation.disable = "TRUE"
isolation.tools.setPtrLocation.disable = "TRUE"
isolation.tools.setVersion.disable = "TRUE"
isolation.tools.getVersion.disable = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_directexec = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_chksimd = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_ntreloc = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_selfmod = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_reloc = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_btinout = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_btmemspace = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_btpriv = "TRUE"
monitor_control.disable_btseg = "TRUE"

Final call, forget all about VMplayer in VM machine.

Installed on a physical computer (eg. server, laptop, pc) .. Veeam + VMplayer.

Straight forward and work like a charm.

Lesson to learn for others if you want to have it work fast and easy.

I found these directions don't work well if the VM is Server 2008, causes odd memory problems for the OS at least on fresh 32-bit install with vSphere U1. and the appliance seems to just hang. I 2nd getting rid of needing VMware Player dependency.
