VirtualDK Service Log (vdk.sys)

Post by J1mbo »

Is there any further logging available for the above?

I ran in to an issue where it reports the old "Cannot create a file when that file already exists" message when attempting a guest restore - but a hint of what the conflict is would narrow things down a bit :)

Hmm...have you checked the corresponding FLR job log file? This is the only place where you would be able to find additional info about vdk.sys :)

It doesn't get far enough to have logged anything useful unfortunately. So I turned it off then on again, and now it works :)

I guess it might be useful for the event viewer entries to have more info though.
