vm mac confilict after restore machine

Hi

why while i restore my virtual machine appear vm mac confilict i have disconnect network adapter of main virtual machine and now just restored that vm with that ip address but now can not ping restored machine ip ?

If the original VM is still alive, MAC address conflict is expected. Hypervisor should detect it and reconfigure the corresponding vNIC.

no before i restore backup i have powered off original vm and both vms not have same mac adress but show vm mac confilict and can not use original vms'ip on backuped vm when i set that ip not work and not ping

why ?

But powering off VM does not wipe it out from virtual infrastructure, so, MAC conflict is still expected. Thanks.
