We are thinking about taking VMCE exam and I understand the requirement is to take VMCE training course first.
What about certification renewal - it looks like renewal will require going through training every 2 major releases.
So same time and money will be involved for renewal training?

The full info on this is available in the upgrade document. You won't need to do the course again, just an exam for v11 and most likely onwards.

Basically taking exam every 2 major releases and I assume that "whats new" course for each release is free.
That sounds pretty good to me.
