Hi,
Does anyone know when the v8 exam will be available?

I've had a look at Pearson VUE but it doesnt state which version of the exam that you can currently schedule. I'd like to get it done before the Christmas holidays!

I presume current VMCE's will be notified by email about the new whats new course? and exam availability?

Will there be a beta exam stage? and those who are v7 VMCE's will get access? or will it just be a full release of the Exam (no beta)

For what i know, VMCE is about v7 ( i am going to get it in décembre ) and VMCE on v8 will be available during 2015

Yes, there will be an e-card sent to everyone about new course availability. As to the beta stage, then as far as I know it is not planned. Thanks!

I paid for the VMCE course prior to attending VEEAMON 2014. I received the subsequent email and I signed up for the VMCE VODL class on Dec 6th but I have not yet received the email from "Stormwind Support" on how to access VODL sessions. Can you please advise on where do I go

Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd ask here, I can see Pearson VUE now has the option to take the VMCE v8 exam. Do you know when the whats new training material will be available and how it will be accessed?

I took the v7 classroom course but have been waiting for the v8 update before taking the exam to save on the cost of doing it twice. All I can find is the note below from the update document.

"Students who attend the VMCE 7 ILT or the VODL, but who do not complete the VMCE 7 exam, will exceptionally be authorized to follow the free online “VMCE 8 – What’s New” course on the Veeam.com website, and then validate their VMCE certification with a VMCE 8 proctored exam at an available Pearson Vue test center"

I did the same, took the v7 course end of last year and was waiting for V8 to be released so i don't have to do it twice.
Would be nice to know when the material will be released.

I've just got a notification from our VMCE Program Manager EMEA that VMCE (and VMCT for trainer) exam V8 is going live tomorrow, and students can start booking their exams.

Passed the VMCE exam today. Pay attention during the class + labs + have plenty of hands-on experience then you should get through it without any problems.

Seems Veeam didnt realise that the multi-choice answers would be randomised, I had two questions like this:

1) Which version of Veeam B&R includes encryption*:
a) All of the above
b) Standard
c) Enterprise
d) Enterprise+

Obviously "All of the above" should have been option D, not A. Very odd!
*Not an actual test question, just an example!

The "What's New in Veeam v8" is asking for a Pro Partner ID which my company does not have. I attended VEEAMON 2014 and signed up for VODL. Im in a similar predicament as some mentioned. I sat through the VODL during Nov - Dec 2014 (during the cross over period) and Im preparing now to take the VMCE but Im not certain of the V8 features \ topics that will be covered. I really dont want to be disadvantaged Please help. (And Congrats to James on passing!!!)
