%VmCount% when tape job backs up folders

Post by geofftx »

Is there a way to get a real VM count in the notification email when a backup-to-tape job backs up a series of folders? I have a tape job that backs up 14 folder jobs (48 VMs), and the notification email shows 14 VMs backed up.

The notification should report 48VMs, not 14 in your case if all 48 VM backups were copied on the tape. We will double-check the behavior.

However, if backup-to-tape job starts, but only some VMs have new restore points, it will not copy all the files.
Are you sure backup files of all 48 VMs were actually copied to the tape?
Thanks!

If I look at the actual details for the job, all 48 VMs have been copied to tape, and the tape properties show the files for all 48 VMs.

Looks like a UI bug.
