Hello, now that VMware Cloud on AWS has started adding NFS datastore support, will support for Instant VM Recovery into VMC on AWS be added?

We are working on this. However, there are some limitations with publishing nfs mounts. We will make some noise when supported.

Hi, new question on this. The customer in question is using NetApps on-premises and we're currently working with them to set up Backup from Storage Snapshots.

NetApp published the whitepaper below earlier this week demonstrating Instant SQL Recovery using SnapMirror and Veeam. Is this also possible for Instant VM Recovery?

Hello,
Instant SQL recovery is using iSCSI in the background directly to the VM. The ESXi hosts are not involved.
