VMWARE disk exclusion

Post by ober72 »

Hi all,

With Hyper-v when I go into the properties of a job and then storage advanced, in the exclusions tab I can exclude disks. However, with a Vmware installation in the same location no disks appear in the select disks box. Is there some way through Vmware or non gui way of excluding disks in a vmware backup job?

thanks

Hi Geoff,

Yes, you can do that. Have you tried excluding disks via this option > Exclude Objects from the Backup Job?

Thanks!

Thanks Vitaly,

I in fact did look there but the disks don't appear. It must be the way this is setup. If I go to add vm and show all hierarchy and then disks I see the same server name under different storage but I can't exclude the disks.

cheers

What do you mean that disks don't appear? Do you have an empty grid in the disks tab?
