VMware ESX 4.0 Update 1

anyone has any experience on backup after upgrade to VMware ESX 4.0 Update 1 ?
did they corrected the service console backup speeds?

i have updated to U1 at weekend. i have an open issue with veeam support about nother thing. when thats resolved i can report here my first impressions....

when i copy a file from the shared storage to a local server i get 8mb/s
dont think anything changed...

I can confirm my backup speeds are exactly the same as before i updated to Update 1 so i have had no issues,

so only SAN is the option...

Im so afraid that someone will logon on the backup server with SAN and play with Microsoft disk manager..and corrupt the storage..

Can you set read-only access for Veeam Backup server on the SAN side?
Or just make yourself the only user on the Veeam Backup server?

I have updated 50% of our servers to ESX4 update 1, and yesterday we had a 100% good backup of 5TB (200VM's) with no single retry.

Looks fine to me
