Are there any requirements for available space in a NetApp volume, or snapshot reserve? I am trying to backup a VM from storage snapshots, and to test initially, I tried creating a storage snapshot within Veeam. I am getting the following error:
Failed to create and scan storage snapshot. Error: Not enough space in volume for snapshot operation
The volume is 76% used and has 10% snapshot reserve.
Thanks

Re: Volume space requirements for NetApp storage backups?
Brian, what if you try to create a storage snapshot outside Veeam B&R? Also, what type of connectivity do you use (iSCSI/NFS)?

Re: Volume space requirements for NetApp storage backups?
This ended up being an issue on the NetApp side. I was not able to create the snapshot outside of Veeam either. I ended up having to turn off fractional reserve on the volume itself. After that, I was able to take a snapshot and backup using Veeam.
Thanks
