Hello,
I want to make a backup from a Windows 2008 Server with VSS.
I get the error "Failed to perform Veeam VSS freeze: VM Guest OS state is "NotRunning"
What can I do?

Hello, you need to power on the VM, or choose the option to continue backup if Veeam VSS fails in the job's wizard.

Hello,
I just wanted to add If your Windows Server 2008 is actually running, and you still get this error, that means that VMware gives us wrong status of the VM, we recieve this information via Managed Object Browser (MOB) - you can check the status of the VM by browsing to guestOS status field, if this is the case please try updating VMware Tools or re-install it, should help.
