Hi
I've just upgraded a client to Veeam Backup V4 and added a new VM based on Win 2k8 R2.
I am now receiving the following warning messages in the backup job.
"Creating snapshot Failed to perform Veeam VSS freeze: guest OS "winNTGuest" is not supported"
Can anyone shed some light on this and is 2K8 R2 a supported OS?

You'll have to wait for vmware to support this guest os and release updated vmware tools...

Hello Phil,
Yes, it is supported, try to upgrade your VMware Tools on the guest OS, cause for some reason your Windows 2008 R2 Server has "winNTGuest" ID instead of "windows7Server64Guest". As soon as you upgrade the tools you should be fine using VSS option for Windows 2008 R2.
