When I start a Replication job in Veeam 3.1 I get the following errors
Cannot initialize information about the guest's system. Target host: [192.168.xxx.xxx].
Cannot collect metrics about the guest's operation system.
Cannot open sessions manager's registry key.
Win32 error:Access is denied.
Code: 5
VM is a Windows 2008 Enterprise 32bit server. I assume this is a permissions problem as
Veeam 3.1 is supposed to support W2K8.
Any idea on what permissions or settings that are needed?
Cheers!! PJH

Re: W2K8 replication errors
Peter, account used for VSS should have local administrator permissions on your guest VM.

Re: W2K8 replication errors
Also, just to clarify - Windows 2008 has always been supported as guest OS version.
But Veeam Backup 3.1 now also supports it for Veeam Backup server.

Account used was domain administrator to avoid any user permissions.

Found problem user job was running from had been removed from admins group. Should have checked that out! Was working on assumption that credentials supplied in job setup would be used.
