Wan Accelerator and Repository on Same VM or different

Post by mellerbeck »

Would I potentially get better performance by having the Accelerator and Repository on different VM's?

Are you going to leverage virtual repository?

Generally speaking, if one machine can't meet combined system requirements or is provided with storage lacking IOPs, then, it makes sense indeed to use different machines.

Thanks.

I think it make sense only if you split the two roles into two different physical machines, or two VMs running over different hosts, otherwise the sum of cpu and memory resources will still consume the same physical host.
