Hello everyone,
if a tenant uses the wan accelerator for an encrypted Backup, how does the WAN Accelerator identifies which data blocks he must transfer (or not) and how does it work with compression and dedup on this way.
Can anyone tell me a little bit about the technical background?
Thanks in advance
Markus

Re: WAN Accelerator encrypted Backup Data Blocks
Hello Markus,
Take a look at this shot video from YouTube. It perfectly explains encryption for Veeam Cloud Connect and WAN acceleration. Thank you.

Re: WAN Accelerator encrypted Backup Data Blocks
Basically, data is decrypted for processing at the target WAN accelerator, and then encrypted again before it leaves WAN accelerator for backup repository.
