WAN accelerator failed to create global cache

Post by b.vanhaastrecht »

Hi,

We have configured a copy job with a source and destination WAN accelerator. In the initial run we receive errors in the log:

Code: Select all

Creating global dedupe cache for OSW2008R2x64 (0% done)
Failed to create global cache
It stays on 0% and job continues. This happens on every new OS. With a second run of the copy job we do not see any "create cache" messages or errors. The same happens when creating a new copy job with WAN accelerator configured.

So we are uncertain if the WAN acceleraor is doing it's job. Has the cache been created and used?

Regards,
Bastiaan

I'm wondering what your ticket number is. According to our forum rules, it's requested to include support case ID when posting about any technical issue. Thanks.

Hi v.Eremin, I did not contacted Veeam support yet. Rather then bothering them I thought I first ask around here. Perhaps what I'm experiancing is known behaviour.

The quick forum search suggests that you're the first one to come across this issue. Thus, you'd better to contact support team, as logs investigation seems to be required. Thanks.
