Hello, we're currently evaluating Veeam, and I would like to know which type of backup repository is recommended. We are using VMWare Data Recovery currently and the backup performance of VDR is dependent on the type of repository (e. g. you shouldn't use SMB/CIFS, NFS VMDK volumes perform better).
We'll also buy a new file server as a Veeam repository, and I would like to know, if using NFS is recommendable (e. g. using FreeNAS) or if direct attached storage is the better way to go.
Any ideas / recommendations?

Re: Wanted: Recommendation for Backup Repository
Hi - direct attach storage is preferred (lower latency, and better reliability). However, we will work with any storage. Thanks!
