WARNING: Veeam B&R 6.5 SQL Exp on Patched 2012 won't install

Hello everyone,

I was rebuilding a test Veeam System and deploying it on Windows 2012 with all the latest Windows Updates. When I proceeded with the install, the SQL install failed unceremoniously and the instal quit. After digging into the logs and trying to run the sqlexpr.exe setup manually, I got this error:

illegal or uninmplemented ELEM_TYPE

Sure enough, once I removed all the windows updates on the server, the install proceeded fine. I don't have time to hunt down exactly which Windows Update it is (Veeam Q&A, got some time?), but just a note that if you plan on installing onto Server 2012, do it before you run windows updates or the SQL express part of the installation will fail. If you are doing a standalone SQL server, this does not apply.
