Hi all
Is there a way to speed up testing immutability cycle ? Like 7daily retainion and 7days immutability. Techincally I should have 14 copys of backups full + inc chained. Can I change it to 2daily retainion and 2days immutability?? I just want to confirm the amount of copy's of backup store in the repo. And to confirm that veeam will deal with the expire copys of backup.

Re: Way to speed up testing of immutable cycle from harden repo?
Hi Steven
The minimum retention of a hardened repository is 7 days. Setting immutability to 2 days is not possible.
But you may play with synthetic full schedule. If you create daily synthetic fulls, then the restore points should be deleted on day 8/9 instead of day 14.
Best,
Fabian

With a retention of 7 days and weekly full backups, you will see 7-14 Restore Points for each machine.I just want to confirm the amount of copy's of backup store in the repo.
The retention process will work, or hundred-thousands of our customers would have opened Cases with our customer support already. And to confirm that veeam will deal with the expire copys of backup.
Best,
