We have to move the virtual Lab VM to another Datastore

Post by WinstonWolf »

Hi ,
We have to move the virtual Lab VM to another Datastorein out VM Environment.
I try it with Vmotion - works so far so good , but after i did again an "Apply Configuration" in the Settings of the virtual Lab on my old Volume again An Folder was created for the virtual Lab VM with ther Files config.flp, drv_va.nvram, drv_va.vmx and also livecd.iso .
In the Settings of the Virtual Lab while creation i can only choose the Storage path for the Write Cache Datastore.
Where i can choose the Storage on which the virtual Lab VM should be created ?

Thanks
Michael

Hello,
the datastore can only be configured during creation of the virtual lab. That means re-creation of the lab is required to change the datastore.

The setting is in the "proxy" part -> "edit". It's greyed out for existing labs.

Best regards,
Hannes

Hi Hannes ,
Works perfect . Think I skipped that point when creating the first virtual Lab .

Thanks
