Hello, Veeam Community,
I would like to implement the following solution:
We backup a HyperV cluster with Veeam. The primary backup runs every night on a NAS connected via iSCSI.
Now every weekend we want to swap a full backup of the system to a USB hard drive.
Unfortunately, I haven't found an easy way to do this yet.
Because of the duration, it is not possible to create an independent job.
The "Backup Copy" function also seems to me to be rather unsuitable for a one-time outsourcing of the full backup only on weekends. Is that so, or did I misunderstand something else?
How would you do it?
Thank you very much in advance.

Re: Weekly Backup Copy
Backup copy is actually the way to go. Do you want each restore point stored on USB drive to be a separate full or a backup chain with a full and subsequent increments will suffice? Or is your plan to keep just a single full restore point there?

Re: Weekly Backup Copy
Yes, I just want to store the last full backup on a disk.
If several full backups fit on one disk, it would be nice to keep the old backups. However, this is not absolutely necessary.
Additional information: There are a total of four discs that are changed weekly.

Re: Weekly Backup Copy
Then just use the rotated drives scenario.
